Easy to get into, often used commercially the implied nude is the naked looking shot when in fact the model has some covering.  The implied nude does not necessarily portray a shot of only skin, it can also imply under the covering the model is naked.
Please note this series will show the naked female body, although will be tasteful it is quite explicit in nature use your own discretion if you wish to read and follow this series.
It is not what is shot but how it is shot

The artistic female nude can be of all, any or a bit of the naked form, it is how you use light, texture and pose that determines if it is an artistic nude or just a shot of a naked woman.

Many photographers have wanted or do want to shoot nudes, in painting circles the nude has been a well covered or should we say uncovered subject for centuries. Art classes have been studying nudes for years and most art students would of studied the nude. Nude photography on the other hand often has a stigma attached to it and prevents many taking on the subject which is a shame, the human body is a natural and beautiful subject to study.
We are fast approaching the festive time of year, and with that often we have the fireworks displays. How many times have you been out watching the fireworks and the people around you frantically snapping away trying to capture the brilliance of the show?
Light Painting or Light Graffiti is a rather cool technique that is really easy and fun to do. All you need is: a camera capable of long exposures, torch or light emitting object, tripod (not life and death) and a dark location. There are a few variations of light painting but they are all done using pretty much the same technique..

What’s the technique Mike? I hear you beg.. read on..
Shooting at night can show you the world through a different lens; shapes turn into interesting artwork as the street lights illuminate the way.  Bridges flooding waterways with their bright lights, shooting at night can be a photographic reward that many miss out on. Night photography can pose quite a few problems but with a little thought and preparation most can be easily overcome.

I have been taking photos at concerts I have been to over the last 4 or 5 years and normally come away with a few keepers but I have always been left a little frustrated that due to camera restrictions, I could only take in my point and shoot. A few months ago I put my name down as a contributer for an online magazine so I could start building my portfolio and confidence as a live shooter. There is no pay for this but it's a great time and I am getting to see bands I'd never see.

So, what have I learnt so far? read on....
